In this brief article I share some news about the blog and what is to come over the coming year.
I hope you are all keeping safe and well given the current situation we all find ourselves in. This is my first post in a while and I figured I better write this now as I have some time available to do it.
Firstly ‘Thank You’ to those of you who have read my blog posts over the past few months. The blog has seen 60 views this past month, so Thank You for keeping the blog going and for reading my old posts.
Due to university work and now the recent covid-19 situation I have decided to take an extended hiatus from blog writing at least until I have the time to be able to commit to the blog again. I have also taken a step back from writing duties at The Jurassic Park Podcast as well, as I just don’t have the time to dedicate to writing outside my MSc degree anymore. It is a shame but I have to prioritise my university work.
Normally I would spend about 5 to 6 hours when the blog first started gathering information, papers and planning the article as well as writing one, so as you can see that is a fair amount of time which I currently I cannot set aside for the foreseeable future.
Despite these step backs I have decided to take part in community livestreams/audio commentary’s within the Jurassic fan community which doesn’t take up all my time. As such I now have a YouTube Channel which you can subscribe to here, the link can also be found on the Jurassic Finds homepage. I will be joining livestreams and community chats/discussions when I have some free time, when I have breaks from my university work.
The blog however will see no further article posts for the foreseeable future apart from one which will focus on my published journal article when that eventually gets published (no idea when this will be, it will be a short article though).
In the mean time though please subscribe to the YouTube Channel and do read through my past articles if you haven’t already. I hope to update the blog again in 8 months time.
